Type 2 diabetes: share this survey

THIS CONTENT HAS NOW EXPIRED

Around 4 million people in the UK have Type 2 Diabetes and more than 2.4 million people are at high risk of developing the disease – and these figures are continuing to increase at an alarming rate.

In partnership with the NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) Primary Care Workstream, Healthwatch have launched a survey to explore public awareness and understanding of Type 2 Diabetes and whether people with a diagnosis feel supported in managing their condition.

90 Hertfordshire residents have shared their views so far – it is important for Hertfordshire residents to cooperate so Healthwatch can help the local NHS with its Type 2 Diabetes Programme.

This survey is open to all Hertfordshire residents, whether they have a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes or not. The survey is available here:https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HwHDiabetes

Feedback from this survey will be shared with the NHS and used to help primary care services understand how they can increase awareness of Type 2 Diabetes and how they can better support those with a diagnosis.

Attached is a flyer to promote the work – please encourage your patients sharing information about the project with your contacts and networks across Hertfordshire.
