Expression of Interest: NHS Community Pharmacy Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) pilot service in Hertfordshire and West Essex

Hertfordshire and West Essex (HWE) ICB is now rolling out a Community Pharmacy Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) pilot service across all localities following the successful pilot in Hertsmere and Dacorum. The service is available to non-pregnant female patients aged 16-64 years old in the absence of current or recent fever (48 hours) registered (including temporary registration) with a GP contracted to HWE ICB. Community pharmacies interested in delivering this service should complete an expression of interest using the link below by 30 October 2023 at 5pm:
Expressions of interest will be reviewed within 7 days of the closing date and contracts sent out to eligible community pharmacies. Training will be provided by HWE ICB in November (dates and times to be confirmed) and attendance by at least one pharmacist representative will be required. Please note that this service will be superseded by the national Pharmacy First scheme once it is launched.
