The term of office of the current members of Community Pharmacy Hertfordshire expires on 30 September 2023.
CPH is seeking nominations for the independent pharmacy contractor places on the committee. We particularly welcome applications from new candidates who want to safeguard the future of pharmacy.
There are 6 independent pharmacy contractor places available. A CPH nomination pack is available to support you with everything you want to know about CPH and includes a link to the nomination form:
Other places on CPH are filled by nominations from the Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) and Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp) and consequently neither candidates nor nominators may be representatives of member companies of the CCA or AIMp.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to become part of our committee. In this role you will be providing leadership and vision, bringing an insight and representing contractors and CPH. You will be making decisions in the best interest on behalf of your fellow community pharmacy contractors in Hertfordshire.
In the last year CPH has been working closely with the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) through partnership working in the key following areas:
- Community pharmacy representation and voice at key meetings such as the Primary Care Board and the Community Pharmacy Transformation Group recognising the pressures and the additional support that community pharmacy could play within the local system.
- Development of a resourced Community Pharmacy lead within each Primary Care Network (PCN).
- Development of a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Patient Group Direction (PGD) service pilot within Dacorum and Hertsmere localities.
- Development of an application to be part of a national Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribing Pathfinder within short timescales.

If there are more nominations than places available there will be an election and voting papers will be distributed to eligible contractors. Accompanying the voting paper will be the information taken from the the nomination paper to provide voters with information on each of the candidates.
