Stockpiling of Medicines (Hoarding) in Hertsmere

10th January 2019 7.30pm to 9.30pm (food served from 7pm)

ALLUM MANOR, 2 Allum Lane, Elstree, Hertfordshire, WD6 3PJ

The Stockpiling project is aimed to be implemented as a pilot from 14 January to 30 April 2019.

Hertfordshire LPC would like to get all pharmacies interested in taking part in this project together to explain the process, how it will work and how you can ensure all your pharmacy team are informed. Remuneration to be received for this project will total £22 per patient in addition to the MUR fee.

After receiving a visit in their home those patients that require help with the amount of medicines stored in their homes will have a medication form sent to the pharmacy of their choice. Pharmacists that are participating in the project will then request approval from NHS England to undertake a domiciliary MUR.
The pharmacist will be requested to record the information after undertaking the MUR on the PharmOutcomes system so the outcomes can be communicated to the GP practice and can be analysed as part of the evaluation.

Community pharmacists will have to have a valid DBS check in order to undertake this process. All MUR rules apply.

Whilst we are aware most of you have received a visit from the LPC about this process we strongly encourage one representative from each community pharmacy in Hertsmere to attend this essential event and you can view further details on the flyer.
