Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board
NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the local NHS organisation that plans and oversees how NHS money is spent and makes sure health services work well and are of high quality.
ICBs replaced clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in the NHS in England from 1 July 2022. From 1 April 2023 Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB will take over responsibility for pharmaceutical services in Hertfordshire and West Essex from NHS England on 1 April 2023. CPH will keep you updated with any changes that may impact on you and your pharmacy.
None of the contact details for your pharmacy contract have changed and remain on our important contact details page on the CPH website.
The HWE ICB has a wealth of information on their website including:
CPH has been in discussions with Herts Valleys and East and North Herts CCGs since March/April 2020 to review the Immediate Access to Emergency Medicines service. It was felt by members that the service needed to be appropriately remunerated, add value to both patients and the system and that it should be regularly reviewed based upon a detailed needs analysis of what is required. Therefore, CPH no longer supports the Immediate Access to Emergency Medicines service within Hertfordshire in its current form. All pharmacy contractors providing the service within Hertfordshire have been emailed by the CPH office advising them of this information
