Hertfordshire County Council Staff Flu Vaccination Service 2022-23 – Expressions of Interest by 10 June 2022

Hertfordshire County Council Staff Flu Vaccination Service 2022-23 – Expressions of Interest by 10 June 2022

The Hertfordshire County Council Staff Flu Vaccination Service commissions community pharmacy to be directly reimbursed by Hertfordshire County Council Public Heath for the cost of providing a private seasonal flu vaccination to staff who are not entitled to free NHS flu vaccinations within Hertfordshire County Council and other organisations providing key social care services and support.

The service (as outlined within the service specification) will allow designated staff to obtain a private seasonal flu vaccination without the need for them to pay for the flu vaccination.   It is expected this will lead to a greater take up of seasonal flu vaccination.

Numbers of flu vaccines administered will be recorded on PharmOutcomes and reimbursement will be provided quarterly by Hertfordshire County Council at the rate being charged by the community pharmacist for a private seasonal flu vaccination at no more than £20.

The Council is taking expressions of interest from community pharmacies in Hertfordshire to deliver this service for 2022-2023 from 1 September 2022 to 31 March 2023. Pharmacies that delivered this service in 2021 -2022 will need to apply to deliver the service again this year. Please ensure you liaise with your head office if you are part of a pharmacy company to seek approval before completing the survey.

If you are interested in delivering this service please complete this survey by 10 June 2022.
