Health Walks and Shape Up
Hertfordshire County Council has released a new autumn programme for its COVID-safe Health Walks, which you can explore by clicking on the area you are interested in below:
If you would like to know more about these free walks, ranging from 20-90 minutes, visit their website where you can also register as a walker. Once registered, you can book onto the walks by calling 01992 555888, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm.
If you’re passionate about walking and would like to support others to increase their steps and explore their local environment, you may wish to consider a voluntary role as a Health Walk Leader. If you are interested, email email@example.com for more information.
Shape Up this September
If you are thinking about weight management and would like some free support to help you on your journey, join one of Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust’s 12-week programmes – for men aged 18-65 with a BMI of 30+.
The Shape Up team host the course in eight different locations, including Welwyn, Ware, Hitchin and Watford. The course has been designed to educate participants about good and increasing physical activity in a manageable and effective way. With courses beginning from 27 September, register your interest now by visiting Shape Up Herts or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
