November 2018, Mike Penning MP visited Woodhall pharmacy in Hemel Hempstead to learn more about the national pharmacy NHS flu vaccination service and during the visit he met Jay Doshi, who is member of Lions Club of Enfield, the current pharmacy owner and pharmacist. Read more here

The PSNC held a busy briefing event in Parliament in July 2018. Hertfordshire LPC invited all of the Hertfordshire MP’s to attend. Mike Penning MP for Hemel Hempstead and Jack Robinson, research to Anne Main MP for St Albans attended. They heard about the role that community pharmacy can play in helping to support people with long-term conditions including the St Albans and Harpenden community pharmacy diabetes plus pilot. The PSNC have published the parliamentary event follow up.
Mark Prisk MP recently visited Bell Pharmacy in Sawbridgeworth to hear about the work that Pharmacist Doug Hinstridge and the team are doing to help residents in Sawbridgeworth and the surrounding area. Mark Prisk MP was invited following the announcement that the Government confirmed that only £20m of the £42m Pharmacy Integration Fund was due to be allocated due to NHS funding pressures. The Pharmacy Integration Fund was set up in October 2016. The fund was supposed to fund services that would take the pressure off other parts of the NHS and improve patient outcomes.
