New patient-facing pharmacy profiles on the NHS website

The NHS website has launched new public-facing profiles for pharmacies. The new pharmacy profiles aim to better meet the needs of patients, feature improved support for mobile devices and meet modern accessibility standards.

The new pharmacy profiles have three sections:

  • Overview (contact information, opening hours and facilities);
  • Services (structured as before, listing general pharmacy services, NHS, and non-NHS services); and
  • Reviews.

If you are a profile editor responsible for an NHS website pharmacy profile, you do not need to do anything different as your existing profile information has been automatically copied over and the way you update your profile will stay the same. However, profile editors are reminded that under the NHS Terms of Service, contractors must verify and, where necessary, update the information contained within the pharmacy profile at least once each quarter of the financial year.
