Diabetes Prevention Week 1-7 April 2019

Diabetes Prevention Week 1-7 April 2019

April 1, 2019

This runs from 1-7 April 2019 and is a joint campaign from NHS England, Public Health England and Diabetes UK. It aims to raise awareness of Type 2 diabetes, at-risk groups, complications and importantly; how to prevent it.
Free Diabetes Prevention Week toolkits are now available to pre-order by community pharmacies from the Campaign Resource Centre.
The Diabetes Prevention Week toolkit includes everything a community pharmacy may need to run their own Type 2 diabetes prevention event during the week; including posters, leaflets, ‘how do you measure up?’ waist tape measures and more.
Like last year, there are two toolkits available; one that includes Type 2 diabetes prevention messaging and points to a local Healthier You service, and another that just includes generic Type 2 diabetes prevention messaging.
