Supporting the physical health of patients with severe mental illness through pharmacy

Accuracy checking pharmacy technician programme
The funding for the above programme has now been opened up to include community pharmacy. Full details are available on the CPPE website including criteria and how to apply.

Winter semester events update
There are still spaces available on the Mental Health and Wellbeing study day taking place in Hatfield on Monday 11 March 2019. This day is particularly aimed at those working in primary care and will focus on common mental health conditions. The study day has been developed by University of East Anglia and would be of interest to anyone wanting to develop their knowledge and skills around mental health illness. Spring / summer semester events
Events for the spring / summer semester will go live for booking on the CPPE website the week beginning 11th February.
They will be repeating the Clinical Medication Review day which has proved very popular, running it in the Watford area on Sunday June 23rd. There will be a number of other day events taking place across the East of England region including Hypertension and the prevention of cardiovascular disease which will be run in Brentwood on Sunday 22nd September.

 

Upcoming e-courses for 2019.
They have a number of upcoming e-courses for 2019. These courses allow a deeper learning experience while remaining flexible by allowing you to participate at times that suits you. Here are just a few that are starting in the next few weeks / months:
Clinical medication review – a person centred approach – starts 4th March
General practice – the fundamentals of working with GPs – starts 6 May 2019
