Healthy Living Pharmacy – NPA leadership training

The NPA will be providing HLP leadership training.

As part of the quality payments scheme, in preparation for the June 2018 review point, the NPA will be holding leadership training at the NPA head office in St Albans – training is being delivered by the NPA’s Chief Pharmacist, Leyla Hannbeck, on Monday 4 June 2018. The training session is aimed at pharmacy contractors looking to achieve Health Living Pharmacy (HLP) Level 1 status. In order to achieve HLP Level 1 status, a pharmacy must have at least one member of staff who has undertaken leadership training.

Leadership training details:

Time: 10am – 2pm
Cost: Members £30 per person (+VAT) and non-members £45 per person (+VAT)

The HLP leadership training session will cover:
• Building a great team – leading, motivating, delegating, developing self and others
• Communication
• How to give feedback
• How to manage conflict
• Group work – including examples and action plans

Participants are presented with a certificate at the end of the session which can be used as evidence to show they have met one of the HLP Level 1 quality criteria. This leadership training is suitable for anyone with management or supervisory responsibilities in pharmacies, not only for pharmacy contractors looking to achieve HLP Level 1 status.
